Sandhill Crane 5; Oct 14; Waterford
Red-necked Grebe 2; Oct 21; channel and Gull Point
Sandhill Crane 5; to Oct. 18; Waterford
2; Oct. 16; Siegel Marsh
White-rumped Sandpiper 1; Oct 19; Sunset Point (waterbird count)
White-eyed Vireo 1; Oct. 18 (late); Perry Monument
Orange-crowned Warbler total of 5; Oct. 20 & 21; several areas at the east end of Presque Isle
The following birds of note were reported for this past week in Erie County, Pa.
Scaup species (most, if not all, Lesser Scaup) 25,000 (record high for the waterbird count); Oct.26; off the mouth of Walnut Creek
Red-necked Grebe 1; Oct 21 to 24, channel and off Beach 11
Orange-crowned Warbler continuing 2 or 3; to at least Oct. 22; several trails at the east end of the park
Pine Siskins have been reported at various feeding stations in the Erie area as well as on Presque Isle S.P.
