The following birds of note were reported from Presque Isle State Park, Erie Co., Pa. 
 
White-winged Scoter  1; Sept. 10; flying past Beach 10 area
Northern Goshawk  1; Sept. 10; Gull Point Trail
American Golden Plover  3; Sept. 6; Gull Point
Willet  1; Sept. 3 to 5; Gull Point
Whimbrel  1; Sept. 11; Gull Point
Stilt Sandpiper  up to 2; Sept. 6 & 7; Gull Point
Buff-breasted Sandpiper  2; Sept. 7; Gull Point 
Long-billed Dowitcher  1; Sept. 10; Gull Point

Waterbirds recorded:
Location: Sunset Point, Presque Isle State Park
Date: September 14, 2016   
Time: 0650 to 0820
Weather: cloudy, temp. 72 F, light WNW wind, waves less than two feet.
Comments:  Cormorants were moving NW from Gull Point.  Ducks were moving east.

Location: Sunset Point, Presque Isle State Park
Date: September 17, 2016   
Time: 0700 to 0800
Weather: cloudy, moderate rain showers, temp. 66 F, SW wind to 10 mph, lake calm.
Comments:  Pretty quiet on the lake.

Location: Sunset Point, Presque Isle State Park
Date: September 25, 2016   
Time: 0650 to 0750
Weather: Clear with a line of clouds to the north, ENE wind to 5 mph, waves about one foot.
Comments:  Very little movement.  Canada Geese were moving across the lake from Canada.

Weather: Clear with a line of clouds to the north, WSW wind to 10 mph, waves about three feet.
Comments:  Little movement with a trickle of scaup moving west.

Comments:  Almost nothing moving
