Sign Up to Discontinue Your Printed Newsletter
Help to save our society the increasing cost of printing and mailing the Tern of Events by discontinuing your printed newsletter and reading/downloading the PDF version online. We will, instead, send you an email notice when a new issue is posted online as well email updates about PIAS activities.
Simply send an email to webeditor@presqueisleaudubon.org stating your name, address, and email address you want us to use, and requesting us to discontinue mailing you printed copies of the Tern of Events.
Adobe Reader
You need to have Adobe Reader software installed on your computer to read and/or download the newsletter.
If you do not have Adobe Reader click on the Adobe Reader icon to download a free copy from Adobe.com. Also see some hints for using Adobe Reader here if you have not used it before.
Hints for Using Adobe Reader
1. Once you have downloaded and installed Adobe Reader, you can click on the link for the newsletter (or any other link for a PDF file) and Adobe Reader will automatically run within your internet browser and open the PDF file.
2. When the newsletter comes up, a row of icons from Adobe Reader will also come up directly above the newsletter. If you put the arrow from your mouse over each icon a caption will come up and tell you what the icon is for.
3. TO SAVE THE FILE TO YOUR COMPUTER click on the second to left icon in the row of the Adobe Reader icons. If you save the file then you will be able to read the newsletter anytime when you are not connected to the internet and it will load considerably faster.
4. TO PRINT the newsletter click on the printer icon which is on the far left beside the SAVE icon in the row of the Adobe Reader icons. DO NOT use the print command on your browser. Then the newsletter will print out almost exactly the same as the paper newsletter is printed.
